I'm still here and it seems things are busier than ever - what with my "fulltime" job, working at the 'Doodle occasionally, and keeping up with my fellow Cricuteers. But I am posting a few projects I have completed in the last few weeks. And I will try to be better in the future about blogging.... where does the time go??

CRICUT IMAGINE

Well, friends, it's been a busy 4 months - mostly because of the holidays and all - but also because I purchased the NEW CRICUT IMAGINE machine when it was launched on HSN on Sept. 14th - MY BIRTHDAY!! I saw that as a good omen and bought the machine and some of the new cartridges for it. Well, I have played with it, been frustrated with it, finally had to return it when it froze during an update - and had a new replacement one sent. All in all, I am sure it has great potential which I have just begun to tap into, and I look forward to playing with it more.

But, first off, a few cards I made with it. Now, remember, that not only does it cut (very intricate designs), but it also PRINTS IN COLOR when using one of its cartridges, so all of these cards were printed first, then die cut and then assembled.

Kind of impressive, I think.

Thanks for looking and I'll try to share more exciting projects with you in the coming months.

'SAVE THE DATE" cards

Everyone knows how popular it is to send out "Save the Date" cards when planning a wedding - well, I've decided to make some for my next swarm! Here they are and I plan to give them out at the Sept. Swarm so the girls will save the date in October for our "Spooky Swarm."

September Swarm

Here are the placecards I made for the upcoming September Swarm - theme - Fall (of course).. Wonderful Kim is designing a layout this time for us to make so we will have some place to put our "traditional" swarm photo.

I'm pretty proud of myself (not because of the cute Cricut leaf from the Gypsy Wanderings cartridge) - but, because I used some OLD rub-on alphabets for our names... remember rub-on alphabets? I must have hundreds... so I decided to use some up! LOL

A couple of cards made with my Cuttlebug chandelier embossing folder, Cored'nations black/purple cardstock sanded to reveal the purple core, old Anna Griffin purple patterned paper, and silver and yellow stickles applied to the flames and crystals....

Thanks for looking....
